Gather

We meet, on purpose, on a schedule.

Gathering is how we practice. Gatherings are for members and the guests they invite. If you would like to come, write to the Clerk and a member will welcome you.

Weekly gathering

Sundays, 10:00 a.m. (Arizona time)

[Place of worship — set by the Council]. Members and invited guests.

Remote participation is offered to members who cannot be present.

Contemplative sitting

Wednesdays, 7:00 p.m.

Same place. Thirty minutes of silence, a short reading, and tea.

What a gathering is like

We keep a simple order. A period of silence. A reading from a sacred or wisdom text, and a short teaching on it. Prayer or contemplation, according to each person's practice. The sharing of what has happened in our lives since we last met. A blessing. Then tea, and time to talk.

There is no collection taken. There is no pressure to speak. Children are welcome and there is instruction for them when there are enough of them to need it.

Coming as a guest

Because the Church is a private society, guests come at the invitation of a member or a minister. That is not a barrier; it is a courtesy, so that someone is expecting you and can sit with you. Write to the Clerk and say you would like to visit.
